Overview
This Research Report was produced by Andrew Lambert with Professor Adrian Furnham and David Lincoln in June 2003.
It examines the problems faced by business executives and HR when designing and operating performance management systems to create a high performing organisation.
We describe the core elements of such systems using six case studies including Barclays, Ernst & Young and B&Q which provide a range of approaches.
Drawing on the experience of the authors and independent experts, we identify 12 priorities in managing performance as part of a definitive list of dos and don'ts to enable the successful design and implementation of a performance management system.
