Senior Interest Groups
The topics for each SIG will be set by participants at the beginning of each year and the intention is that individuals get a chance to meet each other more regularly and build on-going relationships. To date we have had over 15 member organisations involved, with each meeting having between 4 and 12 attendees depending on the topic.
We currently run two SIG's:
Feel free to suggest other topics for Senior Interest Groups, especially if you know of other members who might be interested in your suggestion. To discuss opportunities further, contact Gill Grant on 07798 876252 or e-mail gill@crforum.co.uk
Suggested topics for 2010
Talent Management and Career Paths
- how do you transition your organisation toward a greater transparency around talent ratings, what rating categories are in use, and what do you tell members of your talent pool about their potential?
- what career paths do you set out for people in your organisations, and particularly for those with leadership potential, in an environment of flatter structures and more limited promotion opportunities?
L&OD and Diversity
- how do you accommodate the topic of diversity in terms of learning content and delivery, taking a broad view of diversity from traditional definitions, through generational differences, to diversity of thought ?
L&OD and other Functions (this session will link to the June 2010 CRF Workshop 'HR Specialists-Function and Fit')
- exploring examples of working effectively in partnership with other HR teams, for example reward and recognition, and collaborations with the likes of internal comm's, technology and marketing
L&OD Structures and Professional Training
- exploring different titles, and the scope of these roles, as well as training options open and views about which are the most effective
Please email David your views on these topics or any others you may wish to discuss.
