15 June 2011

Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS

Our L&D Interest Group will be exploring the background to, and value of the 70/20/10 learning concept. The meeting will be take place from 4.30-7.00 at the FSA's offices in London's Docklands.

Overview & Content

We will be joined by Ellen Pruyne and Inge Wels from Ashridge Business School. Their field of expertise is learning transfer and impact. They are just completing research into the approach of highly influential learning and development practitioners. They recently presented at the Future of Learning Conference in Australia, which focused on the application of the 70/20/10 principle.

They will introduce the session by sharing ideas and facilitating a discussion around these questions:

• Where does 70/20/10 come from? Who was it designed for? What does it mean? How is it being used? How is it impacting the L&D function?
• What's the nature of the debate in professional circles about its value/significance?

We'll then move into more of an action learning format and address particular interests of our members.

Please come prepared to share your understanding of 70/20/10 and any lessons from your experience of applying it.
