Spring Symposium

16 May 2013

Trinity House, Trinity Square, Tower Hill, London EC3N 4DH

Following our successful symposium last year, once again, we will be running an event aimed at helping tomorrow’s HR leaders build a network of fellow aspiring professionals.

Who is it for?

Ambitious HR professionals and leaders with significant people management responsibility, nominated by CRF members, and who are looking to gain exposure to leading-edge management thinking and build their networks with like-minded professionals.

Overview

Following our successful symposium last year, once again, we will be running an event aimed at:

• Helping tomorrow’s HR leaders build a network of fellow aspiring professionals.
• Giving delegates access to leading-edge thinkers in change management, management development, performance management and career development.
• Through team-based case study analysis, providing an opportunity for considering issues of organisation and management development in practice.
• Giving participants the chance to meet key personnel with experience in the education, training and development of US Army leaders.

Content

Based around action learning sets, delegates will be asked to address a number of simulated business problems presented as a case study drawing out real issues which successful organisations need to understand and address. We will be working in short sessions of group discussion interspersed with expert comment and topic surgeries, around the high-level structural and people problems of a failing organisation.

We will invite delegates to analyse the situation, identify the issues to be addressed, seek expert advice and develop and present solutions to be shared with the symposium. It will be challenging with many learning and sharing opportunities, a faculty of specialists with which to interact and a day which we are certain will be demanding but fun.

We will close with comments and advice from our experts as they review the day and the issues which have been raised with them together with their awards of prizes in a number of categories!

Keynote

Drinks will be served and our Symposium address will be given by Louis Csoka and Carl Ohlson who will informally chat about their experiences of leadership in the US Military and the lessons to be learned for businesses and aspiring leaders.

Presenters & Facilitators

Leading us through the day and picking out the learning points, our Symposium has an outstanding faculty of CRF partners, all of whom are expert in their fields. They will make short presentations, conduct surgeries and be available throughout the day for continued interaction and discussion with delegates.
