About this Course

This short course will take you on a journey starting with how to value a business, what drives this value and what HR can do to increase value. The danger is too many people undertake the journey the opposite way round – focusing on what they do and then rationalising how that creates value. By turning this thinking the right way up, starting with the business, commercially astute HR people can make a real difference to their business and the success of HR.

Who Should Enrol?

This course is aimed at everyone in HR. No matter your role: resourcing, employee engagement, learning and development, reward or a generalist HRBP, this course will ensure you focus where you can most make a difference.

In our research CEOs talk about the importance of commercial acumen in HR. This course will take this high-level concept of commercial acumen and help you to understand what it means in very practical terms.

Benefits of Enrolling

  • Develop a deeper understanding of what being 'commercial' actually means

  • Tools and frameworks to apply commercial thinking to your day-to-day work
  • Increase your impact and credibility, and earn the respect of your peers in commerce and finance
