How to Get the Best Out of Your Remote Workforce

The coronavirus pandemic launched a global experiment in remote working more or less overnight. Although many organisations found they were able to handle the technical aspects of the shift fairly successfully, we are still learning about the longer-term consequences of remote working on performance, culture and learning.

For those parts of the workforce that can work from home, we are unlikely to ever see a return to previous working practices. At the very least, some form of hybrid model blending office and home working is likely to take its place. HR will therefore need to become expert in advising leaders and teams on how to work effectively together while remote, and rethink policies and practices across multiple areas.
