Post Meeting Notes – Leadership & Learning: Peer Exchange Forum

On Wednesday 1st April, CRF hosted members in a virtual peersharing event for Heads of L&D. We discussed how L&D is responding to the Coronavirus crisis, and the priorities L&D needs to focus on in the short, medium and long term. This note sets out the key points of the discussion. The document explores:

  • Refocusing L&D - our initial reactions of panic, how we can add value in the short term, and how do we rethink what we do and how we do it in the medium term?
  • Rethinking leadership development - how to test whether our models of effective leadership are working?
  • Repositioning leadership - how to get ahead of the curve and how can we equip our leaders to deal with the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on mental health?
