Event
Most HR functions have now experimented with AI but fewer have changed how work gets done. The difficulty is rarely the technology – instead it lies in judging which processes should survive and in rebuilding those that do rather than simply making them faster. Speeding up a poor process just produces poorer outcomes more quickly. Which processes, then, are worth rebuilding, and how should HR go about it?
The event combines strategic thinking with practical work. The first half examines where AI can create value in a people function, how to tell a worthwhile use case from an expensive distraction and the order in which AI transformation tends to work in practice, drawing on CRF’s Seven Key Principles for AI in HR. Most HR teams are still building day-to-day fluency with these tools, and the day is designed with that starting point in mind.
The remainder of the day is hands-on. Participants will take a real process, break it down into its component steps and rebuild it with AI. Working in small groups, they will write and test prompts, put together a rough working prototype and test their redesign with peers, drawing on what others in the room are attempting. No prior technical experience is required. The day closes on what this shift asks of HR leaders, and what it takes to drive the change rather than wait for direction.
Participants will leave with:
- A clearer view of which AI use cases in their function justify investment and which do not
- A method for breaking down and redesigning an HR process
- Prompts they have written and tested, and a rough prototype to develop further with their team
