Designing jobs
in the age of AI

Online

Online | Tuesday 23 June 2026
13.00 – 14.00 BST

Event

The impact of generative AI on the design of work and jobs is likely to be both disruptive and enabling. We can expect routine cognitive tasks – such as data entry or bookkeeping – to become automated, with many workers using GenAI tools to enhance productivity. Human differentiators, such as critical thinking, will also become more valuable. HR practitioners will be called on to become experts in harnessing the benefits of technology while ensuring core human needs such as learning, sense-making and social connection are respected.

In this online session, attendees will learn how to apply tools and frameworks for job and work design in their organisation.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how AI is reshaping tasks, skills and the structure of work.
  • Discover key tools and frameworks for job and work design and learn how to apply them.
  • Develop a set of questions or prompts to use with leaders or teams to guide future-fit job design conversations.
