Predicting
Performance

Event
Assessing potential – that is, someone’s long-term performance in senior roles – is vital for organisations. But it’s just as important to predict shorter-term performance in roles at all levels.
When recruiting and selecting employees we need to maximise the chances of choosing those most likely to perform well and contribute to business success. But what does job performance actually mean? How can it be measured? And what does work psychology tell us about which predictors are most important?
Attendees will:
- Understand the many meanings and types of job performance and their relevance.
- Discover the range of measures of job performance and their validity and reliability.
- Gain insight into work psychology theories and explanations of how we can predict job performance.
- Understand the evidence around which predictors most strongly relate to job performance.
- Share their experiences and learn from others, discussing how the theories and evidence can be applied to predicting performance in their own contexts.
Who is this event for?
We expect to convene senior HR professionals with:
- Knowledge of applying principles of organisational psychology in the workplace so experiences can be shared for peer learning.
- A desire to enhance their understanding of organisational psychology and how it can improve employee performance and productivity.
- An interest in understanding and applying the latest academic research relating to organisational psychology.
- Significant experience working in generalist roles or CoE’s including OD & transformation, talent, employee experience and/or organisation effectiveness.
