Organisational Change

Summary Notes: OD Community – Consulting Skills

  • July 13, 2022

HR professionals are often called upon to advise senior executives and board members on important talent decisions as well as key initiatives, such as DEI, transformation, or performance management. To deal with powerful stakeholders, it is desirable to possess highly advanced skills in consultation.

At a Zoom Interactive Event on 5th July, CRF’s Organisation Design, Culture and Change Community came together to learn more about the use of consulting skills within the HR profession. Bill Pasmore, Professor of Practice of Social Organizational Psychology at Columbia University, presented his latest book, Advanced Consulting, which is based on his more than forty years as an advanced consultant to CEOs and senior leaders.

This summary shares some of the key insights from the discussion.
