This half-day Strategic Workforce Planning workshop brings together senior HR leaders to explore the art and the science of Strategic Workforce Planning. Using interactive discussion and practical frameworks, we will examine planning approaches and differentiating operational from strategic planning.
We will take a ‘future back’ talent management approach, how to categorise the workforce, planning options and the underpinning technology in the process. With examples and case studies, the session will provide practical insights and peer learning opportunities, concluding with a networking dinner to support collaboration and strengthen professional connections.

Lead Expert in Workforce & Organisation, Nordea
Karin is a Lead Expert in Workforce & Organisation at Nordea, where she specializes in driving strategic workforce planning and organisational effectiveness for the Nordic region’s largest financial institution. She leads initiatives in strategic workforce planning, technology organisation transformation, job architecture, leadership and culture development, and flexible working models, drawing from her extensive experience in management consulting and talent development.
Karin joined Nordea in 2018 and previously held senior leadership and consulting roles in Sweden at CEB (now Gartner), Navigio, and Assessio. Her career foundation was built during 13 years at Accenture as Associate Partner in Talent & Organization Performance, across global markets including San Francisco, New York, Stockholm, and Sydney. Throughout her career spanning over 30 years, Karin has been driven by her mission to transform organisations and leaders with evidence-based insights and practices, creating positive impact on both people and performance.

John Whelan MBE
Director, CRF
John Whelan is a Director at Corporate Research Forum. Formerly UK HR Director of BAE Systems, the FTSE 100 defence, security, and aerospace company, John’s experience and strengths lie in business and HR Transformation, Organisation Development and Employee Relations. Prior to joining BAE, he held a variety of HR roles in engineering, technology and manufacturing businesses across the telecommunications and semi-conductor industries including Matra-Marconi Space where he was HR Director for the UK and, latterly, Group HRD.
