Event: Behaviour Change in Organisations

Changing employee behaviour is fundamental to improving organisational performance. Yet organisations often focus on broad concepts such as culture, engagement or attitudes without identifying the specific, observable behaviours that need to change or understanding what is driving them.

Stockholm

Changing employee behaviour is fundamental to improving organisational performance. Yet organisations often focus on broad concepts such as culture, engagement or attitudes without identifying the specific, observable behaviours that need to change or understanding what is driving them.

This event will take an evidence-based look at how behaviour changes at work and what this means for HR practice. We will explore established models and techniques for behaviour change, the importance of organisational context and how CRF’s Evidence-Based HR Behaviour Change Model can help practitioners identify, design and evaluate interventions that support strategic objectives.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the specific behaviours required to support organisational objectives and understand why they matter.
  • Understand whether and how behaviours can be changed, drawing on major psychological theories of behaviour change.
  • Explore the evidence on which interventions are most effective in changing behaviour.
  • Examine the relationship between attitudes and behaviour, including the extent to which changing attitudes leads to behavioural change.
  • Apply insights from psychological research on behaviour change to the work of the HR function.
