The landscape of Employee Relations is undergoing a major shift. Driven by changing social expectations, the widespread adoption of AI, and an escalating workplace wellbeing crisis, ER case volumes are surging globally, in some sectors by as much as 40%.

Compounding this pressure is the fact that employees are increasingly using consumer AI tools (like ChatGPT) to research employment laws, resulting in highly articulate, legally precise (if sometimes hallucinated), and dense grievances.

How do we respond to this tsunami of cases? In this event we will look at both reducing the immediate caseload alongside the long-term need to address the causes that have led to the rise in cases. We will also consider how these changes impact our case management teams and how we organise to respond to the changes?

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the organisational solutions to case management — in source, outsource, shared services and specialist help.
  • Explore effective responses to AI derived cases.
  • Identify approaches to dealing with vexatious claims.
  • Learn how to treat root causes through workplace wellbeing, intervening early and the role of line management.

You’ll come away with practical insight, peer discussion and ideas to inform your own organisation’s approach to managing ER casework.

Who is this event for?

  • HR and ER Leaders
  • Legal Advisors
  • Anyone managing Employee Relations or navigating Industrial Relations disputes
