Rewards for Speed, Productivity and Agility
Rewards – the purpose of which is to attract, retain, and motivate employees - are the most static HR process. Though potentially a powerful lever for change, in practice they are a force for the status quo – far more often acting as a roadblock to rather than a facilitator of organisational agility. Many reward leaders do not know how reward systems could be otherwise. The academic and business press offer little help; only a handful of articles have ever been published on the topic. Gerry’s session reviewed why rewards have become impediments to dealing with disruption in far too many organisations and offered some prescriptions for making rewards far more adaptive in the future.
