The Art of Leading Organisational Change: Lessons from the World of Jazz

  • October 20, 2021

What can improvisational jazz teach us about organisational change? The skills of a jazz musician gives them a unique perspective on leadership, change, innovation and collaboration. Join jazz pianist Alex Steele, with an exclusive group of jazz musicians, to explore this mindset, and how it can be applied to your own organisational challenges.

Based on the latest thinking in leadership, behavioural change and organisational development, the session will provide an interactive learning experience with a special focus on agility, learning and action. Through a series of leadership experiments, participants will gain insights into the value of stimulating a culture of curiosity and experimentation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore the minds and skillsets of jazz musicians, and how these shape their unique perspectives on leadership, change, creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Control and disrupt the musicians in real time, gaining insights into leadership and the value of stimulating a culture of curiosity and experimentation.
  • Apply what you’ve learned to your own real-world challenges and opportunities.
  • Enjoy live jazz music throughout the evening!
