The complexity of the business operating landscape has considerably increased over the past years. Understanding what environment you’re working in is key to effective decision making through periods of uncertainty.

The Cynefin framework helps with exactly that. Created by Dave Snowden in 1999 and described as a 'sense-making device', Dave’s framework is more relevant than ever before.

This masterclass will go into detail about what the Cynefin framework is and how to apply it effectively.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand what the Cynefin framework is and its five decision-making contexts
  • Learn how to apply the framework within your business
  • Experience and practise the key tools underpinning the framework
  • Learn how to distinguish between situations where there is value in applying established good practices, and where developing emergent practice is the better approach.

There is a choice of two breakfast masterclasses from CRF Partners Achieve Breakthrough and APS. These masterclasses are included within the event, but require additional registration. Please contact events@crforum.co.uk with your choice to register and attend.

IN-PERSON MASTERCLASS FROM ACHIEVE BREAKTHROUGH:
Embrace Complexity – Leading in a Real Time World

The last few years have seen a huge growth in the scale, scope, and speed of the challenges facing today’s leaders. Whatever your sector, the demands on your people have increased and the time to respond accordingly is now. At Achieve Breakthrough, we have worked with leaders at the forefront of some of the fastest moving sectors to help create the shifts in mindset required to thrive in this environment. This Masterclass gives you the opportunity to explore and examine the shifts that have enabled certain individuals, teams, and cultures to embrace complexity and truly lead in a real time world. In this session, we will discuss the role that purpose, presence, and preparedness play in modern leadership and how it could serve your people today.

IN-PERSON MASTERCLASS FROM APS:
Leadership in Uncertain Times – How Psychological Safety and Personality Impact Decision-making and Team Effectiveness

With economic pressures and the need for growth becoming more challenging, organisations are often talking about innovation and creative problem-solving. What challenges does this pose and how can organisations and leaders create the right conditions for others to share their thoughts and ideas openly? At APS, we work with leaders and teams to understand the gaps and build the skills and necessary behaviours. This masterclass will provide the opportunity to consider the challenges and opportunities to enable individuals and teams to operate at their best. With a focus on team effectiveness, we will discuss psychological safety and how this impacts engagement and performance.
