Presentation Deck and Notes: Research Overview
This slide deck provide a short, 15 minute overview of the research for those who have not read it or need a refresher. Complete with detailed speaker notes, it can either be sent around internally for people to read or be presented internally. Expected duration 15-30 minutes.
Explainer video: The Role of the HR Leader
This 8-minute video provides an audio visual summary of the four roles that a HR leader can and should take on when approaching risk-related issues. Case study examples are provided. This can either be watched individually or as a prelude to an internal discussion on the role HR is playing in risk within the organisation, particularly with the next tool.
Ratings and Questions: Evaluating your approach to risk management
This word document provides a check list and set of questions to evaluate what your organisation is doing well and where there are opportunities for improvement in your approach to people-mediated risk. This is best used amongst relevant members of the HRLT in a meeting. Expected duration 30-90 minutes.
Workshop Presentation Deck: Conditions, Signals, Actions Framework
If you have already evaluated your approach to risk, this framework provides a basis for continuous assessing risk within the organisation. By looking at where risk is building, how it might escalate and what actions to take, it offers a practical lens for discussion. Best used as part of a team meeting. Expected duration 30-90 minutes.
Scenario Exercise: The Global Talent Shock
Provided by Prof. Elmar Kutsch, a speaker from the research launch event, use this scenario to move away from a risk register approach to instead build anticipatory foresight. This provides an opportunity to visualise in a different way some of the elements mentioned in the conditions, signals, actions framework. There is a case study, polarity map, and critical drivers sheet. To be used in a meeting amongst a wider set of stakeholders, it is recommended to have the case study on screen with a printed copy for each group of the critical drivers and polarity map. Expected duration 45-60 minutes
